1859 Garden or Opera Hood
The pattern calls for “five ounces of 8-thread Berlin wool” which is equivalent to heavy sport or DK weight yarn. The patterns uses “long bone knitting-needles, No. 9.” For DK weight I would suggest US 8 needles (5mm), for heavier yarn, US 8 (4.5mm) should work.
