This elegant cardigan combines stranded colorwork with embroidered embellishments. It is knit in the round and steeked in the Norwegian manner. It first appeared in the 1997 Dale booklet #100 and was reprinted in #170 The Best of Tiur.

Tiur, manufactured by Dale of Norway, is a luxurious blend of mohair and wool. It has been discontinued, however, some remaining stock can be found. Other sport weight wools, including Dale’s Heilo and Falk can usually be substituted although the look and fabric. will be slightly different

FINISHED CHEST WIDTH: 43¼ (44¾, 46½, 48, 49½)”/ 110 (113.5, 118, 122, 125.5) cm. A schematic supplies other useful measurements.

SUMMARY: This cardigan features a colorful band of stylised flower bunches surrounded by swirls and edged with saw-tooth and bargello-like patterns along the bottom hemline and on the cuffs, against an overall double-diamond lattice pattern. The shoulder and sleeve tops mirror the saw-tooth pattern and include a flower bunch. The cardigan has a round neck with the saw-tooth pattern used in the collar and narrow button bands with loop closures. The flower band is highlighted with embroidery done in the finishing stage. Norwegian steeking technigues with set-in sleeves and self-lined bottom, cuff, neck and button bands are used. There are 2 colourways presented – one red and the other purple, using 1 Main Color (MC) and 3 Contrasting Colors (CC1 – CC3).
