14 Karat
I have currently archived this pattern until I can update the format.
When you find a beautiful semi-solid sock yarn that you truly love, give it the 14 Karat treatment. This pattern is inspired by the delicate elegance of gems and jewelry - a little bit feminine, a little bit edgy, but always brilliant and balanced. It uses a combination of stitch patterns which make use of twisted knit stitches as well as a touch of lace.
The instructions are written for both DPNs and Magic Loop for working in the round, and proceed from the cuff down. Sizing is accomplished by changing gauge, and instructions are included for a Small (8.5 sts/inch) and Medium (8 sts/inch), to fit a foot/ankle circumference of approximately 7-8 inches and 9-10 inches around. Knitters are advised to select yarn and needles which will give them the best gauge and fit for their desired size. If in doubt, knit the pattern using the same needle size you would use for a pair of 64-sts stockinette socks.
This is available for sale as a download, and the file is approximately 8.5 MB in size.
