10503 Cardigan
SUMMARY: This is a short or long-sleeve, dropped, indented shoulder cardigan. It features 2 main cable designs – a double chain link pattern and an hourglass travelling lines pattern, separated by 4-stitch rope cables and seed stitch. The 4-stitch cable and seed pattern is continued in the K1, P1 ribbing used on the lower edge, sleeve cuffs and neck edging. The neckband is picked-up from the seamed body pieces and worked onwards at finishing. The buttonbands are worked in seed stitch pattern as part of the front pieces. The body of the sleeves is stockinette stitch. The longer version includes front pockets knitted into the garment with a K1, P1 ribbed top edge, worked in the finishing stage.
