Pattern description from Knit.1, Winter 2007/2008: “Short rows, long lines, big payoff: Mari Lynn Patrick’s flirt of a dress, in ‘Cashmere Merino Silk DK’ and ‘Kid Mohair’ from Sublime/KFI, is worked horizontally, with short rows creating the flared skirt. The bodice is stitched separately and sewn on - or you can leave it off, thread elastic through the waistband and keep things skirty.”

- 5 (6, 6) balls in #13 Ebony (A) of Cashmere Merino Silk DK by Sublime/KFI, 1¾oz/50g balls, each approx 127yd/116m (merino/silk/cashmere)
- 3 (4, 5) balls each in #9 Blush (B) and #11 Clove (C)
- 2 (3, 3) balls each in #24 Kisses (D) and #25 Fig (E) of Kid Mohair by Sublime/KFI, .88oz/25g balls, each approx 122yd/112m (mohair/nylon/merino)
- One each sizes 7 and 8 (4.5 and 5mm) circular needle, 24”/60cm length or sizes to get the gauges
- One pair size 7 (4.5mm) straight needles
