Pattern Description from Vogue Knitting, Fall 2007: “An allover two-color slip-stitch pattern lends depth to Joan Forgione’s tunic-length cardi vest. Ribbing creates shaping at the waist and added interest at the button band, armholes and hemline. Shown in ‘Extrafine Merino Wool DK’ by Sublime/KFI.”
“Standard-fitting, long sleeveless tunic with two-color slip stitch pattern and bands of ribbing.”
Knitted Measurements:
- Small (Medium, Large, X-Large)
- Bust (closed): 37 (40, 42½, 45½)“/94 (101.5, 108, 115.5)cm
- Length: 32½ (33, 33½, 34)“/82.5 (84, 85, 86.5)cm
Materials:
- 11 (12, 13, 15) 1¾oz/50g balls (each approx 127yd/116m) of Sublime/KFI Extrafine Merino Wool DK (extrafine merino wool) in #18 dusted grey (A)
- 5 (6, 6, 7) balls in #14 toast (B)
- One pair each sizes 6 and 7 (4 and 4.5mm) needles or size to obtain gauge
- Two size 6 (4mm) circular needles, 24”/60cm length
- Six ¾“/19mm buttons
- Stitch holders
Additional Gauge : 28 stitches and 34 rows = 4”/10cm over rib pattern using smaller needles
Notes:
- Knit the first and last sts on every row for garter selvages unless otherwise indicated
- Front and neck band does not have selvage sts
