Pattern Description from Vogue Knitting, Spring/Summer 2010: “Self-striping in Koigu’s variegated ‘Mori,’ Landra’s long drop-shoulder coat sports a simple lace rib, a deep lace pattern border and a fancy crocheted edging.”
“Loose-fitting long lace jacket with 3/4-length sleeves and lace border.”
Knitted Measurements:
- Sized for Small/Medium, Large, X-Large
- Bust (closed) 38 (43, 47½)“/96.5 (109, 120.5)cm
- Length 31 (31½, 32)“/79 (80, 81.5)cm
- Upper arm 16 (17, 18)“/40.5 (43, 45.4)cm
Materials:
- Two 1¾oz/50g hanks (each approx 187yd/171m) of Koigu Mori (silk/wool) each in #M316 (A), #M5241 (B), #M505 (C), #M138 (D) and #M301 (E)
- One size 3 (3.25mm) circular needle, 40”/100cm long OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE
- Size B/1 (2.25mm) crochet hook
- 2 stitch holders
Gauge:
- 24 sts and 30 rows = 4”/10cm over lace pat using size 3 (3.25mm) needle.
- One 28-row border chart rep = 5”/12.5cm
- TAKE TIME TO CHECK GAUGE
Notes:
- The jacket is worked in one piece to the underarm.
- Circular needle is used to accommodate large number of sts. Do not join.
- When shaping into lace pat, if there is not an increase to compensate for a decrease, or vice versa, then do not work the increase or decrease, but work the sts in garter st.
