#06 Flounce Scarf
Pattern Description from Vogue Knitting, Fall 2007: “The exaggerated openwork and natural shaping of Bryant’s frothy treasure come from an extreme drop-stitch sequence. The ribbon yarn she used - Prism Yarns’ ‘Galaxy’ in a colorway called ‘VK Silver’ - was dyed specially in honor of VK’s anniversary. ‘This ruffled flounce confection is created by working progressively more wraps toward the outside edge and then releasing the extra wraps on the next row. This scarf lies almost like a collar around the neck, then falls in frothy layers. What fun! It’s the perfect accompaniment to a gala celebration.’”
“Long loosely-knit scarf with garter and dropped stitch pattern. Shown on page 125.”
