#05 Ridged Scarf
Pattern Description from Vogue Knitting, Fall 2007: “Sheen gets tactile in Newton’s textured scarf, worked in a knit-purl ridges-and-diamond texture with Lion Brand Yarn’s ‘Glitterspun.’ Two short-row panels are knit separately and sewn to either end. ‘I thought it would be fitting to combine the simple stitch pattern I used for my very first Vogue Knitting design with the reverse-stockinette-stitch ridges I love so much. I’ve always found the rhythmic repetition of knit and purl and the rich depth the ridges give you to be especially pleasing.’”
“Textured pattern scarf. Shown on page 124.”
