Hi there, I’m so happy you are here!

I am Maren – a passionate designer and knitter.

I started to knit with a six month old baby in my arms and a nasty postpartum depression. As many of you experienced yourself, knitting helped me get out of my dark place.
When it was time to get back to work, I was ready and thrived again in my old job as a Senior Art Director.

About a year later the pandemic started and I quit my job (as it didn’t make sense at all during that time). That’s when I started Knitterista, my knitting pattern design business.
I tried to make it work during Covid, but I was overwhelmed by the combo of Mama duties and business building demands. I also learned I have ADHD and that I actually need a different environment to thrive. So, I closed Knitterista in 2024 and I am working as a Graphic Designer, again.

I am grateful for the experience and the people who thrust and supported me. As you can see – my business collaboration patterns are still available and I decided to keep my own patterns visible.

I won’t be able to give active pattern support anymore, but I will keep on knitting and test knit every now and then. Maybe we see each other on one of those!?
