New Zealand textile designer and photographer based in beautiful Wānaka, where snowy peaks, crystal-clear lakes, and the golden light of Otago are a constant source of inspiration.
I’ve always been drawn to textiles—especially knitwear, colour, and natural fibres—and I love how photography weaves into the way I see and create. I studied textile design in Wellington and began my journey working with Feltex Yarns, which cemented my lifelong love of yarn and making.
My designs have appeared in books and magazines, and I’ve enjoyed collaborations with New Zealand yarn companies including Touch Yarns, Wild Earth Yarns, Perriam, and Crucci. I also self-publish patterns under my label lisaFdesign, and am the creator of Burnthill Yarns.
I aim to inspire others to knit and fill their lives with colour, creativity, and the joy of handmade.
