My username is CelticKnotCrochet and my website is celticknotcrochet.com.
When I was about 8 years old and looking for something to do during the summer, an elderly woman who lived on my street invited me and a friend to sit down with her on her front steps while she taught us the basics of crochet.
My friend and I LOVED it and spent most of the summer making all kinds of crazy things with reams and reams of crocheted chains - doll clothes, puppet accessories and bookmarks - that we sold to our neighborhood friends.
After lots of experimenting as a young girl, I became intrigued with thread crochet since our house was full of beautiful examples from my grandmother. I bought several pattern pamphlets with my babysitting money and taught myself to crochet all sorts of delicate Christmas ornaments and gifts for family members (using those tiny crochet hooks.)
Just over ten years ago I started to teach crochet locally and the experience renewed my love for crochet and my desire to experiment with all kinds of yarns, fibers and hooks!
Now I design regularly for a variety of crochet publications and often incorporate Celtic Knots into my designs.
Thank you for stopping by - Please message me if you have any questions about my designs or where to find them.
Happy Crocheting!
