Stitch by stitch, row by row, creating something unique from just a couple of needles and a thread feels like pure magic to me.
I grew up in a yarn shop – my mother owned one – and I started designing my own patterns at an early age. In the 1970s I worked as a stylist at Jakobsdals Kamgarn Spinneri and, when my children were small, I freelanced as a knitwear designer for several Swedish yarn brands as well as for magazines. I created and sold my own machine-knitted sweater designs to trendy boutiques in central Gothenburg.
These days my work includes freeform crochet, and I teach workshops in this technique. You can read more about it on my website.
Today I live with my husband in the Sjuhärad area on the west coast of Sweden.
