Colonial Cowls eBook is a set of three beautiful cowls all knit up in various weights of SeaGlass colored yarn by LB Art Yarn, an independent dyer based in Yorktown, VA.

All Colonial Cowls are knit using yarn by LB Art Yarn in SeaGlass color ways.

Jamestown (Fingering) Amber Brown and Olive Green
Yorktown (Sport) Ruby Red and Amethyst
Williamsburg (Worsted) Teal and Honey Yellow

The Jamestown cowl incorporates basic lace stitches using a thin yarn with very large needles to emulate the look of fishing nets used at the original settlement.

By the time the Patriot soldiers reached the Battle of Yorktown, they were battle tested, but they were also tired, they were ragged - something I try to emulate with the stitch pattern that almost looks a tad askew when knit up.

For Williamsburg, I wanted to stay with something more representative of the time in which is more simplistic and utilitarian.
