This Collection contains five patterns that introduce the stacked stitch technique with fun projects that each teach a different aspect of stacked stitch projects. They are all worked in beautiful, self striping, Noro Yarns so you get a striped cor shifting color effect without all the ends to weave in.
The Simple Stacked Stitch Scarf will get you started with a repeating pattern that I like to use in my basic stacked stitch classes.
The Peaks and Valleys Scarf is one step up from the Simple Stacked Stitch Scarf, using a more extreme chevron pattern. There’s some interesting shaping at the start and finish of this project to introduce stacks in conjunction with shaping.
The Impressionism Cowl is a similarly easy pattern. It contains stacked stitches of multiple heights, incorporated in an easy to remember stitch pattern. It also shows how stacked stitch motifs work in the round.
The Simple Stacked Ripple Hat is also worked in the round. It contains stacks of multiple heights and has crown shaping which demonstrates how decreases work with stacked stitches. The hat is a bit more advanced than the Impressionist Cowl, but not too hard for a beginner.
The Radiant Aura Shawl is crescent shaped and shows how stacked stitches can be used as increases. The pattern contains multiple height stacks and is about the same difficulty as the Ripple hat.
