The Knitting 102 Teaching Kit is designed to be an “out of the box” solution for a series of advanced beginner knitting classes. This ebook contains reproducible patterns and handouts for students as well as detailed teacher notes. It will provide you with preparation and promotional details for the class, student materials lists, teaching notes and timelines for each part of the class, and potential student problems and solutions. Teaching Kits have been class tested and tech edited for correctness and clarity.
These patterns are especially designed for knitters who are comfortable with knitting, purling, casting on, and binding off, and who want to learn the basics of lace, cables, and slipped stitch colorwork. These are simple patterns designed to teach the basics of more complex knitting patterning with in class practice and support. There is minimal shaping to the patterns and gauge may or may not be critical to the project. All three classes emphasize skills in more complex stitch manipulation. Any of the three patterns could be taught individually or they could be taught as a series.
This teaching kit contains reproducible patterns and handouts as well as teaching notes for these patterns:
