The original Crochet-A-Long (CAL) included 5 squares: Leaves, Carnation, Lily, Rose, Butterfly. Bonus squares were added, so there are now 9 flowers (Daffodil, Pansy, Lotus, Sunflower). The Pansy has the option of a blank background or a squiggle background; so, there are now 10 patterns in this bundle.
Each flower has written line-by-line instructions and a chart for two techniques: interlocking crochet and overlay mosaic crochet. The mosaic charts have X’s.
You will receive two files: one for each technique.
Each square has a chart size of 81 x 81 which means they begin with 40 windows in the foundation trellis when you use the interlocking crochet technique.
Instant access to all three versions of the Sunflower pattern, just add Sunflower 40 to your cart after purchasing this eBook. That listing has the Interlocking version, Mosaic version based on the Interlocking chart, and Adjusted Mosaic version where the mesh dots and extra border lines have been removed. _____
The Locked Filet Mesh (LFM) interlocking crochet method uses only chain spaces and double crochets to create a mesh; two colors are worked alternately which creates the pattern.
Mosaic crochet is single crochet and double crochet stitches. The double crochet stitches cover some of the other color’s single crochet stitches to create the design. My patterns instruct you to cut your yarn at the end of each row. The back is striped but often gives a faint impression of the pattern on the front (sort of like illusion knitting). See an example here. ____
