Zipline
Zipline is a jacket for adventure, roaming, exploring and freedom. It’s a jacket to zip up and snuggle into. Zipline is about no excuses, tackling challenges head on, asserting your individuality and never giving up. It is when my kids are in this state, that they are at their strongest and most admirable.
Zipline is a casual hooded jacket that features a textured seed stitch circular yoke. The touches of seed stitch carries through to the cuffs, hood and edgings of the jacket. Knit from the top down and seamlessly, this jacket is as relaxing to knit as it is to wear. Pockets and zipper will
elevate it quickly to favourite status.
Zipline is designed as a companion garment to Granny’s Favourite, the yoke patterns are interchangeable between patterns. You can knit this hoodie with the lace yoke or the cardigan with this yoke detail.
Construction:
This is a seamless garment constructed from the top down using a circular yoke construction. After knitting the yoke, the garment is divided to knit the sleeves and body with pocket placement integrated into the front of the garment. The hood is picked up and knit from the neckline upwards. Finally, after completing the pockets, the edging is knit on and the zipper inserted to finish.
Instructions for the yoke and both written and charted.
