A beanie hat in six sizes, in an easy-to-learn chevron stitch, knitted flat on two needles.
Use a self striping yarn or small amounts of different contrast colours, along with a main colour to tie it all together.
This is a great way to use up bits of plain colour DK / 8 ply yarn along with some long colour change leftovers.
Have fun creating different colour combinations!

There are two pattern options to create the zigzag stripes – one gives a lacy look, the other has no holes, just chevrons – there is a style for everyone!
