this hat is some slouch, plus some texture, add some attitude
either size can be made with just under 200 yds of worsted wt yarn.
knit from the bottom up in the round, you’re well over 1/2 way through before the cable crossings of the basket weave stitches begin.
ribbing is stretchy and high, so just two sizes (s/m and l/xl) fit most all teen to adult heads. sz l/xl is shown in pics on size 23.5” head.
gauge:**
s/m: 26 sts and 34 rows in stockinette stitch on size 4 needles
l/xl: 22 sts and 32 rows in stockinette stitch on size 5 needles*
