Who doesn’t love polka dots and a good slouchy hat? The XOXO Hat combines both in one cozy, trendy topper! Using the same easy-to-knit texture that can be found in the Hugs Pullover and Embrace sweater, the polka dots on this hat are like little hugs worked all around the hat. Show yourself (or someone else!) a whole lot of love with this delightful hat!

Construction Details
Hat is worked from the brim to the crown. The brim is worked in k2p2 ribbing and the main section of the hat is worked in a knit/purl polka dot texture. Decreases are worked on DPN at the crown of the hat. You can follow the pattern in either a chart or words.

Size options: One size – Adult Medium

Finished Measurements: 19” circumference and 10.25” depth when laid flat

Yarn: 150 yards of DK weight (CYCA #3) or light worsted weight (CYCA #4) yarn.
Sample made with Madelinetosh Tosh DK (100% pure merino superwash wool, 225 yds / 115 g), 1 ball.

Gauge: 21 sts and 28 rounds = 4” in stockinette stitch on larger needle.

Needles: US 6 (4 mm) 16” circular needle and DPN or size needed for gauge, US 5 (3.75 mm) 16” circular needle or one size smaller than size needed for gauge. Adjust needle size as necessary to obtain correct gauge.

Additional materials: one distinctively colored stitch marker for the beginning of the round, 4 additional stitch markers to mark pattern stitch repeats, tapestry needle, row counter.
