Wuthering Heights Shawl
This half-circle Pi shawl, inspired by the rugged Ilkley Moors and ill-fated Victorian heroine Catherine Earnshaw, combines an easy but striking striped garter-stitch base with a small section of densely worked purl shells and a delicate lace edging that uses a traditional Estonian gather and expand technique. Knit in one-piece from the top-down in beautifully soft and warm Alpaca, it is ideal for snuggling up on chilly winter evenings. Pattern is charted and rated as moderately difficult.
