Woolamai
Inspired by the surf beaches of my teens, Woolamai blends two delicate Shibui yarns to form a beautiful, marled fabric. Light and easy to wear, this beanie is the epitome of oceanside life in Australia.
The high contrast trim, shown here in the vibrant ‘Jumpsuit’ orange, adds a pop of colour to the garter stitch detail of the chevron and topping off the pompom
This is designed as a close-fitting beanie, with some negative ease purposefully built in to the pattern. If you would like a less-fitted version, I would suggest making the Large size.
Gauge is taken over Chevron stitch for this pattern, using a strand of Cima and a strand of Pebble held together throughout
The materials suggested allow enough yarn in Cima for two Small beanies if the Contrast Colour and Main Colour 1 are switched, however an additional skein of Pebble would be required to complete the second beanie.
