PATTERN DESCRIPTION
This is a simply elegant, truly classic design with a modern twist, unusual construction, and a fun surprise at the end!

The design is inspired by nature’s incredibly beautiful snowy, wintry scenes. Knit your way through memorable scenes from favorite Christmas movies while snacking (and sipping) on treats (recipes included). Let’s have fun with those while we head to the North Pole!

There’s a variety of stitch patterns to keep it interesting: Easy texture, simple lace, no brioche, no stranded or mosaic colorwork. We think it comes together in a stunning way without any colorwork…. I can’t wait to see yours!

You will find a few favorite recipes along the way because we all need yummy snacks as we knit, right?

Video-tutorials are provided for unique stitches. Any charted stitch patterns are also written out.

SIZE
Two sizes, one slightly shorter depending on yarn option chosen, both of which can be worn as a wrap, scarf, a small blanket, or even displayed as a work of art.

Length (Gradient Kit version): (76 inches / 193 cm)
Length (Full Skein version): (72 inches / 183 cm)

YARN INFO
Pattern uses Fingering weight yarn. I advise using wintry, jewel-toned colors with a deep, rich darkest shade and a contrast color that is in light, icy contrast to all of the main colors.

See the Planning section at the start of the pattern pdf for help choosing your yarn colors. There are 2 options included for yarn:

Gradient Mini-Skein Option: 1 gradient kit of 6 mini-skeins with 133 yds/121m each, 1 full skein in darkest color in gradient kit, and 1 full skein in light (icy) contrast color.

4 Full Skeins Option: 3 full skeins in a gradient (light, medium, dark) and 1 full skein in light (icy) contrast color.

Full Skeins should be 400 yds/365 m for both options and you will have a bit left over. Yarn usage will vary depending on gauge and specific yarn used!

This is a collaboration with Miss Babs using Yummy 2-ply but is open to other yarn dyers and LYS who would like to offer kits. Other dyers have also created beautiful kits for you! Needles
Main - US 4 (3.5mm) 29-32”/70-80 cm circular

Smaller - US 3 (3.25mm) 29-32”/70-80 cm circular

If your needles are not interchangeable, you may also want a US 3 (3.25mm) on a short cable and a long stitch holder or waste yarn.

Notions
Stitch markers, yarn needle to weave in ends.

EXPERIENCE LEVEL:
Pattern is Intermediate Skill level with video-tutorials on unique stitches. Any charted stitch patterns are also fully written out. (So, it could potentially be accessible to an adventurous, advanced beginner especially if you are good at monitoring your gauge and have friends to help you out in a couple of key areas.)
