This is my first knitted beanie pattern .
I’ve made Winter Picnics in garter stitch so that it’s reminiscent of the winter picnics I enjoyed with my parents in the Blue Mountains NSW Australia . It reminds me of cold , sunny days , their hand knitted beanies and jumpers , the chops sizzling on a wood bbq , a tartan picnic rug , cheese and carrot slaw and a thermos of tea to wash the food down .
Knitted in one piece in Adagio Mill Alpaca 12 ply it will be quick to knit and you’ll be warm at your winter picnic too .
