Molly’s height is 175cm / 5’ 9” with a chest (fullest point) circumference of 107cm / 42”, and is shown wearing a size 3.
Yarn: Kelbourne Woolens Scout (DK-weight; 100% wool; 250m / 274yds per 100g skein)
Shade: Wisteria Heather; 5 (6, 6, 7, 8, 9, 9, 10, 10) balls OR approx. 1100 (1275, 1450, 1700, 1930, 2100, 2200, 2400, 2600)m / 1200 (1390, 1580, 1855, 2105, 2290, 2400, 2500, 2615) yds of DK-weight yarn
Gauge: 18 sts & 28 rows = 10cm / 4” over Chart A or B on 5mm needles after blocking.
Needles: 4mm / US 6 circular needle, 40cm / 16” length and 80cm / 32” length and needles suitable for working small circumferences in the round
4.5mm / US 7 circular needle, 40cm / 16” length and 80cm / 32” length
5mm / US 8 circular needle, 80cm / 32” length and needles suitable for working small circumferences in the round
Always use a needle size that will result in the correct gauge after blocking.
Notions: Stitch markers, removable stitch markers, waste yarn or stitch holders, tapestry needle.
Notes: Winnow is worked from the bottom up with wheat-berries “growing” from bottom to top on different levels. The lower body is worked in one piece, then the front and back are divided at the underarm and worked separately to the shoulders. The sleeves are knit in the round from the cuff to the underarm and sewn to the body, then the neckband is picked up and worked around the front opening.
