The hat is worked in the round from the bottom up. Follow the Mosaic chart or written instructions for the slip stitch color work pattern. For mosaic knitting in the round, rounds are worked in pairs, two rounds using the same color. The first round work as indicated for the pattern. On the second round, using the same color, you purl the same sts you knit in the previous round, and slip the same sts you slipped. Choose two colors of yarn with lots of contrast for best results.
The child and small adult hats shown were worked from a single skein of each color of the Weepaca yarn.

Designate the dark, light and contrast for each hat before starting to knit.
