The offer includes e-books as well (e.g. Secession belongs to the Knit Light e-book, Photography Shawl to Top 5). Also, I have a new collection of patterns called 5 Shawls My DD Nicked Away. If you purchase this e-book, you can choose any pattern for free using the code gift (this offer is valid till the end of September 16, EST time). You can get the free pattern in a separate transaction, after purchasing the e-book with the 25% discount. The Photography Shawl pattern is also 25% off!

The pattern is one of 5+1 patterns from the Friendship e-book.

When I was knitting this shawl, these lines that went together, split and met again reminded me of the regular meetings with friends, talks and laughing together. So I named this shawl for the sake of having more friends and possibility to meet them whenever we feel like.

The shawl is worked sideways in one piece starting with just a few stitches. There are no rest rows on the wrong side, but the pattern is logical and easy to memorise. The size of the shawl can be customized according to included instructions.

Sport weight yarn is used for the sample shawl, but you could also use fingering weight or a heavier yarn. Use a different colour yarn for bind off for more fun as shown or stick with the same colour if desired.

For information about sizes, measurements and yarn requirements please check the second page of the pattern located among the photos on the left.

I asked test knitters what they would like to tell about the pattern and the finished shawl to other knitters and here are some of their answers:

KBHallman There is a lovely mental balance to knitting this shawl. The ribbing portion is very zen knitting; only the increase edge required my full attention. The lace portion is in-the-moment, alert knitting.

MadeleineL I love that this pattern is adaptable to any weight and amount of yarn.

klementine Choose a yarn with nice stitch definition!
It is really nice that the size of this shawl is easy adjustable. Pretty simple pattern, but not boring at all, it needs some attention.
