The Wheat Heart Wall Hanging is a texture, boho inspired home decor piece. This crochet pattern is an advanced beginner level. It features the Puff Stitch to create the image of stalks of wheat, and this pattern helps with practicing decreasing, and increasing stitches.

Materials
-Loops & Threads Impeccable Yarn, worsted/category 4 (4.5oz/127.5g, 277yds/253m), 100% acrylic
-You need 195yds/180m total (fringe included)
Crochet Hook - I/9 (5.50mm) or correct hook to meet gauge
Scissors
Tapestry Needle
Measuring Tape or Ruler
Extra yarn or twine for hanging
Dowel -- 18” long, 3/8” diameter
Stitch Markers

Yarn Substitutes : Any other worsted/category 4 yarn will work.

Experience Level = Advanced Beginner. You will need to have an understanding of the Half Double Crochet Stitch, Double Crochet Stitch, Puff Stitch, and how to increase and decrease stitches before starting this pattern.

Gauge
12.5 STS x 8 Rows = 4” x 4” square

Gauge is measured before blocking.

Stitch count per row is the same for HDC and DC.

Pattern to create gauge swatch.

CH 20
Row 1 : HDC in the 2nd CH from hook. HDC in each CH. CH 1. Turn. (19 STS)
Row 2 : HDC in each ST. CH 2. Turn. (19 STS)
Row 3 : DC in each ST. CH 2. Turn. (19 STS)
Row 4 : DC in each ST. CH 1. Turn. (19 STS)
Row 5 : HDC in each ST. CH 1. Turn. (19 STS)
Repeat Rows 2-5 until your gauge swatch measures more than 4” high.
