What's the Temp Tote
Are you intimidated by the time commitment a temperature blanket requires? The Fair Weather Tote is a fun and interesting temperature project, or just a really fun bag! The bag is completed with a series of 13 mitered squares. One square knit completely in the base color for the bottom of the bag, and 12 squares (1 for each month) Two very quick rows to knit each day makes this an easy project to finish, even if you get behind.
Each square is knit by picking up stitches from the previous squares, so there is no seaming. After all 13 squares are complete, a border and straps are created by picking up stitches along the top edge. Then you’ll felt the bag. Washing machine or hot water bath both work fine. Best of all there’s no need to weave in loose ends, because they can simply be trimmed after felting!
