A VULK??
It’s a very Danish expression, and the best way to translate it is “a fold in a smooth surface”.

VULKEN is a classic sweater with a high neck - not close-fitted.
The pattern is a very easy cable-pattern - lots of cables makes this texture.

Materials
TYND eco wool from hyggestrik.dk or similar: 297 yd (280 m) /50 g & Superfine alpaca: 424 yd (400 m) /50 g. The 2 types of yarn are knitted together.

TYND eco wool: 250 / 300 / 300 / 350 / 350 / 400 g
Superfine alpaca: 200 / 200 / 200 / 250 / 250 / 250 g

Needles
32” (80 cm) circular needles size US 4 & 8 (3.5 & 5 mm)
16” (40 cm) circular needle size US 4 (3.5 mm)
1 set of double pointed needles size US 4 & 8 (3.5 & 5 mm)
1 cable-needle size US 8 (5 mm)
Stitch markers

Gauge
Before wash: 19 sts & 24 rows in stockinette stitch with needle size US 8 (5 mm) = 4” (10 cm)
After wash and blocking: 24 sts & 27 rows in cable-pattern = 4” (10 cm)

Length: 25” (63 cm) / 25” (64 cm) / 26” (66 cm) / 27” (69 cm) / 28” (71 cm) / 28” (73 cm)

Bust circumference: 42” (107 cm) / 44.5” (113 cm) / 47” (120 cm) / 52.5” (133 cm) / 55” (140 cm) / 58” (147 cm)
