Gauge
24 sts and 27½ rows = 4” in patt from Ostrich Plumes chart using smaller needles, after blocking; 18 sts and 21 rows/rnds = 4” in 2 x 2 Rib using larger needles. Take time to save time, check your gauge.

Notes
Each half of this shrug is worked from the cuff upwards, then the two halves are joined at center back using Kitchener Stitch.

Because the shrug does not have to fit around the bust, its sizing depends upon the width across your upper back. To determine your size, measure across the back of your shoulders, between the points where the sleeve seams would be on a fitted shirt, and choose a size with a body opening approx 6” to 7” wider than your shoulder-to-shoulder measurement.

The ribbing is deliberately worked on a larger needle than normal for this yarn to create softly draping cuffs and provide sufficient stretch for the body edging.
