Vibrant Textures Square
Introduction
I wanted to design a square that was bright and vibrant yet not too complicated to make. This is designed for crocheters that don’t mind changing colours every round! There will be a lot of ends to weave in but I tend to crochet over them as I go; just tidying up the back after each one.
I had this in mind for a blanket but I thought I’d leave it up to you what to make with this square! I hope you enjoy making it. You can really experiment with colour on this one!
Skill Level
Intermediate. Knowledge of working front and back posts is needed as well as popcorn stitches. There is some intricacy in this pattern but I have used photo tutorials to help where applicable.
Materials Needed
Any DK weight yarn in cotton, acrylic or wool blend.
Hook UK 4mm (US G/6)
Tapestry Needle
Scissors
Gauge / Tension
Not applicable.
Measurements
Each square should measure 20cm X 20cm unblocked. If you wish to block your squares, the results will be slightly larger. The finished size will differ depending on the weight of yarn used and your tension.
I hope you like working on this pattern. It really has lots of options in terms of colour choices. I chose 4 colours but you really can use as many or a few as you like.
I have had the pattern tested and also it has been tech edited by Nicola or Loops and Crosses Crochet. Happy to help with any questions so please email me munira@chromacrochet.com
