Valentine Pug in a Mug
Love is in the air, and Pug is in the mug!
This is Kokeshi Doll Series 2. The Valentine pug couple, Kinako and Tamba!
Kinako the fawn pug is a pug boy. He met a cute pug girl, Tamba, in the park and fell in love at first sight. They soon got along with and look forward to celebrating their first Valentine’s Day together!
Kokeshi (こけし), are Japanese traditional craft and simple wooden dolls with no arms or legs. They have been crafted for more than 150 years as a toy for children. My Kokeshi doll is a little different from traditional one, it’s always in something.
Valentine Pug is in a heart mug and wears a whipped cream hat with a red heart on top. The hat is removable. In this pattern, you can make a Pug, a Whipped Cream Hat with a red heart, and a Mug with a heart pattern. Kokeshi dolls are small and have no arms or legs, so this is a simple and fast project that can be made with your leftover yarn!
