Inspired by this magical month… and mid-summer madness here’s homage to that fantastical creature - the unicorn!

Framed on a hoop for wall art - or, if you make it slightly smaller - a sweet finger puppet (I’d advise using DK not aran for the finger puppet together with size 4 not 6 needles)

Knitted flat with simple short rows the unicorn trophy takes an hour or less to knit -

• the background of the hoop is also worked flat in garter stitch with just a simple straight line seam to complete it - or you could mount your trophy onto fabric inside the hoop - lots of scope for personalised interpretation here! -
