There is a wide pedestrian path along the ridge of Uetliberg. The way divides two contrasts: on one side of the mountain is the busy city life and on the other is the country life. 

Uetliberg is a simple and straightforward sock, that only incorporates stocking stitch and reverse stocking stitch. The purled sole stitches merge into the heel to form a seam that embellishes the back of the leg.

The socks are knitted from toe-up, with a gusset and a triangular heel flap. They start with a clever cast-on. The bind-off forms an elastic edge. 

To show the pattern best, I recommend a highly variegated yarn.

Entlang des Bergkamms vom Uetliberg führt ein breiter Fussgängerweg. Der Weg trennt zwei Kontraste: auf der einen Seite des Berges ist das geschäftige Stadtleben und auf der anderen Seite ist das Landleben.

Uetliberg ist eine einfache und geradlinige Socke, bei der nur glatt rechts und links verwendet werden. Die links gestrickten Sohlenmaschen gehen in die Ferse über und bilden eine Naht, die die Rückseite des Beins verschönert.

Die Socken werden von unten nach oben gestrickt, mit einem Zwickel und einer dreieckigen Fersenkappe. Sie beginnen mit einem raffinierten Anschlag. Das Abketten bildet eine elastische Kante.

Damit das Muster am besten zur Geltung kommt, empfehle ich ein buntes Garn.
