Tyche is a crochet shawl in the form of a shallow triangle. It is worked sideways in rows and its pattern repeat is easily memorized. The size of the shawl is very easily adjustable.

This shawl is perfect for short yardages in fingering weight yarn. You will get a good size with only 437yds (400m). The sample is done with 875yds (800m) and has a wingsping of 102.4in (260cm). 547yds (500m) will result in a wingspan over 78in (200cm).

The pattern incudes written instructions for each row as well as a complete chart. A photo tutorial for the Puff-Stitch is also included.

About the name:
In Greek mythology Tyche is the goddess of fortune and chance. As the colors in the yarn used in my sample change by chance and I didn’t really plan to do this shawl (it was good furtune!) this shawl really is a child of fate.

Tyche ist ein flaches Dreieckstuch, das seitwärts gehäkelt wird. Das Muster prägt sich schnell ein und die Größe kann nach Belieben angepasst werden.

Dieses Tuch ist ideal für kleine Lauflängen! Mit nur ca. 400m in Sockenwollstärke wirst du eine gute Größe hinbekommen. Das Tuch auf den Bildern wurde mit 800m gehäkelt und hat eine Spannweite von 260cm. Mit 500m Lauflänge landest du bei einer Spannweite von über 200cm.

Über den Namen:
Tyche ist in der griechischen Mythologie die Göttin des Schicksals und des Zufalls. Da im verwendeten Bobbel die Farbwechsel zufällig geschehen und ich dieses Tuch eigentlich gar nicht geplant hatte, ist dies also wirklich ein “Zufallstuch”.
