I have always wanted my own Bella mitten pattern for my Twilight collection but after finding the Phenomenon mitten pattern it seemed pointless.

But it has been haunting me. I wanted a quicker version of the mitten to make for charities baskets.

So I grab some bulky yarn or double stranded a worsted weight and started designing. I decided that knitting flat would be quicker and using size 11 needles.

I lowered the initial cast on to 40 stitches and went from 10 full horseshoe cables to just 8. So I reduced the number of rows by 16. I added all the details included the palm stitching which is so much easier to do when knitting flat and the cross stitch piping around the horsecable as well.
