Originally designed for the Yarnover Truck Yarn Club with a fantastic gradient yarn from Apple Tree Knits, Turri (Latin for in the tower) is a crescent-shaped shawl inspired by the styling of Rapunzel in the movie Tangled. Knit from the top down starting with just a few stitches, increases are performed on every row to give the shawl its shape. A scalloped lace pattern repeats down the length of the shawl, ending with a pretty picot bind off. Turri is a knit perfect for passing the time: the lace is involved enough to not be boring, but simple enough to set down and easily pick back up when, say, you need to get your cookies out of the oven, or you also happen to be playing chess with your pet chameleon.

Specific yarn requirements:
Apple Tree Knits Glisten Fingering (65% superwash merino, 35% rayon from bamboo; 560 yds/ 512 m per 113g); 1 skein in Tangled Gradient
Or, 560 yds/ 512 m of a fingering weight yarn

Needles:
US 6 (4 mm) circular needles, at least 32”/ 80 cm long, or size needed to obtain gauge

Gauge:
23 sts & 28 rows = 4”/ 10 cm in Scallop Lace pattern and Stockinette stitch after blocking Meeting this exact gauge is not crucial, but any major differences will affect the size of the finished shawl as well as yarn requirements.
