Trukazozio is the perfect fluffy shawl ! Knit with brioche and garter
stitches with suri and merinos yarns, it reunites all the conditions to
obtain the best brioche ever.

I wanted to create something for a three-monthly challenge I launched with my annual KAL (a fun KAL by the way !). The theme of this challenge was “Chirp all winter along”. So I thought a lot about it and choose to create something in relation to lovely chickadees, singing on the snow-covered branches of the trees during winter. That’s why I called it Trukazozio, a pun of French words: truc (meaning thing) and oiseau (meaning bird)!

The atypical construction is fun, no bored time ! I-cords, shorts rows, yarn overs are there to rhythm this tweet-tweet project !
And of course … bi-bicolor brioche stitch (both colors are visible on the RS).

For information, the shawl on pictures measured 240 x 70 cm after blocking.

Material

-Yarn: Yarn: lace weight- 520 meters (MC) + fingering weight - 330 meters (CC1) and 5 meters (CC2).

The original sample was made with Albizia Light Fing (74% baby alpaca,26% silk, 300 m / 50 gr) Ivoire colorway as MC and la Cèdre Fing (60% MSW, 20% silk, 20% yak, 366 m / 100 gr) Terre et mer colorway, from Squirrel’s Yarns.

You can replace MC with a mohair lace, or any hairy lace. Do not replace it with a 100% MSW, this shawl has been conceived to be stretched a lot once wet-block. Hairy yarn compensates the stretch and gives a fluffy effect.

• Circular needles 3,75 mm (use 4 mm if you do not have this size).

• At least 2 markers and 1 “safety pin” marker.

Gauge

Gauge is not essential for this project, but for information: 14 “visible” st x 18 visible rows (or 28 st x 36 rows in total): 10 x 10 cm with MC.

Extra

• bi-bicolor brioche stitch section is available as charts and row by row.

• Each technique used in this pattern has a video link. Those videos are in French, but easily understandable just by watching.

• A picture of the shawl blocking with instructions is included.

Trukazozio est le châle doudou par excellence ! À base de point brioche et de point mousse et tricoté avec du suri et du mérinos, il réunit toutes les conditions pour obtenir un moelleux parfait.

Ce châle est né de l’envie de créer quelque chose pour un défi trimestriel lancé sur un KAL annuel que je lance tous les ans. Le thème était “Zinzinuler tout l’hiver”. Je me suis donc creusé les méninges pour créer quelque chose en rapport avec les jolies mésanges qui chantent sur les branches enneigées de l’hiver. C’est pourquoi il se nomme ainsi !

La construction atypique permet de ne pas s’ennuyer. I-Cords, rangs raccourcis, jetés sont au rendez-vous pour rythmer ce projet à cuicui ! Et puis, évidemment, de la brioche bi-bicolore (les deux couleurs sont visibles sur l’end. du travail).

À titre informatif le châle original mesurait 240 x 70 cm une fois bloqué.

Matériel :

Fil : épaisseur lace - 520 mètres (CP) + épaisseur fingering- 330 mètres (CC1) et 5 mètres (CC2).

Le modèle d’origine a été tricoté avec de la Albizia Light Fing (74% baby alpaga, 26% soie, 300 m / 50 gr) coloris Ivoire en CP et de la Cèdre Fing (60% mSW, 20% soie, 20% yak, 366 m / 100 gr) coloris Terre et mer, de Squirrel’s Yarns.

Vous pouvez remplacer la CP par un fil type mohair ou tout autre fil lace qui gonfle légèrement. Ne remplacez pas ce fil par un 100% mSW, le châle est conçu pour être étiré à plat au blocage, l’effet poilu du fil utilisé compensant le moelleux.

• Aiguilles circulaires 3,75 mm (préférez des 4 mm si vous n’en avez pas).

• Deux marqueurs normaux et 1 marqueur “nourrice”.

Échantillon

L’échantillon n’est pas primordial pour ce projet, mais à titre indicatif : 14 m visibles x 18 rgs visibles (ou 28 m x 36 rgs en tout) : 10 x 10 cm avec la CP.

Bonus

• La partie en brioche bi-bicolore est disponible sous forme de diagrammes et de rang par rang.

• Dans ce patron, toutes les techniques utilisées sont accompagnées d’une vidéo tutoriel.

• Une photo du modèle en cours de blocage, accompagnée d’instructions, est incluse dans le patron.
