Make this beautiful shawl for summer or winter, taking advantage of the wonderful color changes in gradient cake yarns and the beautiful drape that comes with working on the bias.

The size of the finished shawl will depend on the yarn you select and how many rows you make.

You can use any yarn in your stash. You will need approximately 800-1000 meters of gradient cake yarn (100% cotton or 50% cotton and 50% polyamide are the most common) or any yarn you have available, preferably in long gradients or in a single color.

For the winter version, you’ll need the same length of a companion lightweight lace yarn and a hook slightly larger than the one recommended for the main yarn.

The gauge for this shawl is not essential, although it is important that you keep even tension throughout the project.

The shape of this shawl resembles that of a boomerang with a shorter side. It must curl towards one side, as it is not a triangle.
