If you’ve ever had a small glass jar of jam with your cream tea or hotel breakfast, there is a good chance it came from the rural Essex village of Tiptree. A village that is also home to an Aladdin’s cave like Craft shop which still closes early on a Wednesday afternoon.

Like the jam, this square is surprisingly straightforward, but produces an elegant result.
