Asymmetrical shawl with Harry Potter inspired “lightning bolt” shaped lace sections. The step-like construction with a triangular end drapes perfectly around the body. Lace sections are knit between garter sections. A simple garter and lace edging finishes the piece. I-cord edging is knit onto the top.
Materials:
• 47”/120 cm/US size 6/4 mm circular needle, or size to match gauge
• 1210 yds/1106m Any fingering/sock weight yarn, by color and yardage below.
• Removable stitch markers
Gauge:
17 sts and 34 rows = 4” Blocked using US size 6/4mm needle
Garter stitch
Yardage:
Color A Main color: 150gr/600yds/550m
Color B Lightning bolt: 100gr/400yds/366m
Color C Edging: 52gr/210 yds/192m
