This modular shawl or wrap is worked in four separate sections, or clues, each of which takes your knitting in a different direction, echoing the plot, characters, narrative shifts and red herrings of Margery Allingham’s brilliant thriller, Hide My Eyes (1958).

Kate Davies Designs Milarrochy Tweed (70% Wool; 30% Mohair; 100m / 109yds per 25g ball) OR comparable fingering / laceweight yarn, in the following shades and quantities:
Shade A: 100g
Shade B: 100g
Shade C: 75g
Shade D: 75g
Shade E: 100g

Yarn quantities have been calculated within a 10% margin, to allow for gauge differences and swatching.

Gauge
24 sts and 48 rows to 10cm / 4in over garter stitch worked back and forth. Use 3.25mm needle as a starting point for swatching.
