This basic sweater is a easy project and is fast to knit on size 6 needles. The yarn SNEFNUG is so soft and contains of 100% natural fibers.

BASIC SWEATER is a good basic sweater and a really good choice for a beginners project as the pattern only consists of knit and purl. The sweater is knit in the round from the bottom and up. The sleeves are knit in the round on dpns and are joined with the body at the yoke. As the stitch pattern is worked as 4 rounds of alternately knit and purl, it will pull together vertically, and it is recommended to knit a little swatch, wash it, and let it dry flat, to see the true row gauge.

Needle size: Circular needle size 6 mm (40 and 60 cm) for body, yoke and neckband, and dpns size 6 mm for sleeves.

Gauge: 14 sts x 24 rows = 10 x 10 cm in st s ton size 6 mm. If the gauge is off try with a smaller or larger needle size. If there are too MANY sts per 10 cm, try with a LARGER needle size. If there are too FEW sts per 10 cm, try with a SMALLER needle size.

Note! The sweater has raglan shaping and is worked in the round, which means that there is almost no finishing work at the end.
