Taking Turns Lace Socks
Socks are my social knitting, and these were designed so I could knit lace while taking a turn at the conversation. The result is a narrow lace that also takes turns between bands of purl stitches. This lace is easy to read on the needles and creates ribbed socks that fit a variety of legs and are great for gifts.
The pattern is worked across 5 stitches and repeats over 16 rounds. It is easily memorized and fun to work. Since the patterning repeats regularly, it shows off the beauty of solid, semi-solid, and multi-colored fingering weight yarns.
