Bring some buzzy bee charm to your home with this honey sweet decorative mobile.

Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the decorations are knit in acrylic DK yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round). The beehive’s door frame is an i-cord tube which is worked on two DPNs.

NEEDLES
A pair each of 3mm single pointed knitting needles and DPNs (US 2.5).

RECOMMENDED YARN
Stylecraft Special Double Knit; double knitting/light worsted weight; 100% acrylic; one 100g/295m skein in each shade.


NOTIONS
Tapestry needle, toy filling, a 20cm embroidery hoop, and domed black buttons for the bee eyes.

SIZES
One size only - The mobile hoop is 8 inches/20cm diameter. The knitted pieces range in size from 5cm to 9cm tall.

TECHNIQUES
For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, increases and decreases, knitting stripes, and seaming to finish.
