Sunshine Blanket
(written in UK crochet terms) US Version now also available
I was inspired to make this blanket by the lovely colours of autumn and also Van Gogh’s painting of sunflowers, so it has lots of yellow, greens and orange, but you can make it in any choice of colours to suit your décor. The quantity of yarn given in approximate, some of the colours you will use less than 100gm balls so will have some left over, unless of course you decide to extend the blanket by making the border larger, of adding more rows of squares. I hope it brings a little sunshine and colour in to your world.
This blanket is based on 1 large centre motif measuring 18” square and 4 smaller motifs - 34 x 3” flower motif made in 2 colour-ways, 4x corner motifs measuring 6” and 8 x large flower motifs – 4 of each made in 2 different colour -ways. Finished measurements is approximately 30 “x 30” square. Finished measurement approximately 40” x 40” an ideal size for a cot, baby or lap blanket.
