Sugar Snow is a snow with large wet flakes that fall when it’s almost spring time. It is a phenomenon in Vermont, that helps to define that which we call Sugaring Time. When the nights are frigid and the days are warm, the sap runs and it is prime harvest time for Maple
Syrup. Traditionally gathered in sap buckets, they define the landscape as much as muck boots define the fashion sense of the season.
