Guess what?!?! It’s time for the Fall 2015 geoknittrix Mystery KAL!

I’m so excited to introduce STAINED! Stained is a shawl of fun, mystery, texture, shape, and drape that is sure to keep you entertained!

Stained uses short rows, slipped stitches, and color blocking to create a gorgeous, elegant, graphic PUNCH for your wardrobe!

It’s a great shawl with just enough tips and tricks to keep the advanced knitter interested and is perfect for any intermediate to advanced beginner ready to stretch their shawl-rizons!


The sign-ups for the shawl run from October 1st – 10th. The first clue goes out on Sunday the 11th and the next clue is released one week after until all five clues have been released.

So to recap:

  • Sign-ups run from the 1st of October through the 10th.

  • Clue #1: October 11th

  • Clue #2: October 18th

  • Clue #3: October 25th

  • Clue #4: November 1st

  • Clue #5: November 8th

Recommended Yarn:
Small: 2 colors of fingering weight yarn in solid, tonal, or variegated colors. Sample uses Neighborhood Fiber Co. Rustic Fingering (100% Superwash Merino) in the Shaw (A) and Belair (B) colorways.
Large: 2 colors of worsted weight yarn in solid, tonal, or variegated colors. Sample uses Miss Babs Yowza (100% Merino) in the Oyster (A) and Volcanic Eruption (B) colorways.

Yardage: Color A: 475(560) yds/ 434(512) m; Color B: 475(560) yds/ 434(512) m;

Needles: One set of 32”-47” US size 5 (9) / 3.75 (5.5) mm circular needles

Gauge: 6 (4) sts to the inch in garter stitch on US size 5 (9) / 3.75 (5.5) mm needles
